It has been way too long since I have updated, but I must confess that college is tough....especially when you are crazy enought to take 4 super hard theology classes that demand hundreds of pages of reading per week per class...yep...so I don't have alot of time on my hands!  But i will tell you that I love you all and that Church Histroy and Systematic Theology rock my socks off!  aunna <><  Read Matthew 5 if you get the chance...it's a goodie! Oh...by the way, I got a new cell phone, same number, but I lost all the numbers I had in my phonebook, so if you are feeling neglected b/c I haven't called you there are 2 possible reasons: 1) I'm reading or 2) I dont' have your number anymore...so comment it to me!

- Thank You for the Cross

well we got back from San Antonio on Saturday...it was so awesome....here are some pictures for you...enjoy

me and eryn sporting the side ponytail at the "Original Mexican Resturant" on the Riverwalk...it was so much fun..we had a mariachi band and everything!

Ryan, Brad, Mayo, and Charla hanging out at Daily Bread Ministries.  This is a perishable food bank that provides food to tons of ministries around San Antonio.

Tucker and Kenna teaching Back Yard Bible Club at Blood and Fire

everybody at Kingdom Resources.  Kingdom Resources is a ministry that provides food to other ministries such as Drug Rehab Centers, a Christian Boot Camp for troubled teens, etc.  While we were there we got to makes "Bags of Blessing" that had snacks and a stuffed animal and take them to elderly in an assitted living center.  They didn't want us to leave.  We probably developed the closest relationships with the staff of Kingdom Resources.  They were wonderful and loved to impart God's love into people's lives.

this is the back of the Living Stones truck.....Monday Wednesday and Friday nights we went out with them to feed and minister to the homeless.  They serve soup out of the back of this catering truck...we got to give the people toiletires that they needed.  It was awesome to see how loved the people felt.

It was an awesome week and i have to say i am very proud of all the people that went...you were all so wonderful to work and serve with!  aunna <><

well i just got to experience falls creek for the first time this last week....it was actually pretty awesome.. Friday morning we had a devo outside and essentially we had a wedding service where we could make the committment to become the bride of christ...it was really awesome..and God was really working in my heart.   i was thinking about you know how many times married couples or people that are seriously dating are always associated with one another?  or like how one thing always go with soemthing else...like Penut BUtter and.....Jelly, or Sonny and....Cher, ya know what i mean...well i was thinking that if we truly are the bride of Christ, what is the first thing someone should think of when they hear your name.  I know alot of people at school always associate me and kevin...which is fine (we have been dating for 1 year and 7 months), but how much more if we are the bride of Christ should we first be associated with HIM!!!!! His name and who he is should take over who we are.  just like when couples get married...the wife takes on the name of the husband...that is how we should be with Christ...i don't know that just really stood out to me and meant alot to me!  hope you all are having a great summer!  aunna <><

The other day i had a girls night with two girls that i'm going to live with next year.  We were talking about the food that they have in the deli at school and one of my friends was telling me about the cinnamon rolls that they have in the mornings, she said they were AMAZING and that i needed to try one....so this morning i went into the deli to get some juice and there was a bunch of cinnamon rolls sitting there....they looked really warm and yummy so i thought hey, I'll grab one.  In the back of my head, God was like...Aunna, you don't need one, you have a granola bar in your backpack.... but they looked so good, so i picked one up and bought it.  I ate the first outside layer and it was good...ya know, not spectacular, but still good.  And then i got into the middle layer and oh my goodness...it was GROSS!!!! I have never had a grosser cinnamon roll in all my life...the whole inside was covered with thick and dry cinnamon power...yuck!!!  It tasted great on the outside, but once i got on the inside it was terrible...isn't it funny how God knows what's best...ya know that's exactly how sin is - it looks great and may even taste great as first but once you get to the middle of it you realize it's really not good - in fact it's terrible and you wish you could get out, but by then you're stuck (for example...i couldn't return my cinnamon roll and get my money back) That's why proverbs says to the young and naive - the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.....following God and his ways, being obedient to him...now that is wisdom!  God's ways really are best, even when we can't see it - that's why we have to trust him and know that his plan is the best!  Think of Eve in the garden....she looked at the fruit...realized it would be good to eat...and that it would be really yummy, and that it could give her "wisdom" so she took it....she had a bite and at first it seemed great...good enough to go share it with her husband, but then they realized they were naked...covered themselves and felt the very first sensation of shame and guilt!  In Genesis 3 it says that Satan is the more crafty than anyone, that means he is the master of trickery!  He knows how to appeal to our senses and make us think that what we've been told is wrong is really exactly what we need...and we believe him! Let me ask you a question...would you rather believe the father of all lies or the way, the TRUTH, and the life.  Do you want to follow someone who seeks your destruction, or someone who loves you deeply and has an amazing plan for you life.  My encouragement to you is to follow the Lord even when it doesn't make sense, or even when the temptation in your life is extremely appealing....God knows what is best...trust him.
